About the Paintings:

In searching for “hope related” music for my IPOD, I stumbled on this song by singer Ryan Calhoun.  Titled “Hope,” the song hit a chord with me immediately. In a 3+ minute tune, this song summed up for me the process of creating this show, and the preceding year of my life.

I love how the song’s lyrics are not afraid to expose the vulnerability and weaknesses we all feel at times.  And I loved, even more, how this was followed by lyrics that show the strength inside of us, that somehow rises out of the ashes, picks us up, and makes us believe, hope, aspire, and carry on.

If you have not heard this lovely song, laced with guitar and raw, heart felt vocals, search for Ryan Calhoun’s “Hope”  on iTunes.  It is worth the time.
