Art for the Creative Child 7 to 10

	Gina J's 4-Week Classes: Art For the Creative Child Ages 7 to 10 (Gina will accept younger students...please email her to chat!)   About the Class: 4-Week Class "Art For the Creative Child"  with Artist Gina Jrel Place: The Loft (Gina's St. George Warehouse Art Studio) 928 Westridge Drive Warehouse #3 in St. George Dates: Wednesdays (June 17th, 24th, July1st, July 8th) Time: 10:30am to Noon Class Cost: $125.00 per student (Plus $25.00 supply fee) Class Space: This class is limited to SIX students. Reserve your spot early! Class Description: Treat your creative child to this unique, fun and educational art class taught by local artist Gina Jrel. Right up front:  this is not a crafts class! Students will learn the basics of design principles, such as balance, tension, movement, emphasis, repetition, to name just a  few.  Also touched on will be tid-bits of Art History as they apply to the lesson being taught.  Lessons will be presented in fun and interesting ways, using everything from cookies to cardboard, from charcoal to watercolor.  The class will challenge and help to develop the child’s creative thinking process, while also improving and developing their artistic skills. This class is recommended for children who are noticeably creatively inclined.  If your child enjoys sitting for long periods and prefers drawing, building, coloring, gluing, making, and constructing “things,” they will do fine in this class.  This class is not recommended for children who have a very short attention span, or who are not already inclined toward sedentary, creative activity.   Supplies: We work in a variety of mediums in this class, and so there is a supply fee of $25.00 per child (separate from the enrollment fee) to cover the supplies to be used.  Supplies will be purchased for each child by Gina, and their new "Art Tool Kit " will be waiting for them at their first lesson.The supply fee should be paid at the time of enrollment, to allow Gina to purchase Art Tool Kits in advance to the first lesson.
