Is your money backed by Gold?
The gold standard is a monetary system in which a region's common medium of exchange are paper
notes that are normally freely convertible into pre-set, fixed quantities of gold.
I found it interesting to learn that the
gold standard is not currently used by any government, having been replaced completely by fiat currency. It begs the question
why the Federal Reserve Note carries the phrase, or some might think epitaph: IN GOD WE TRUST!
