Large, greedy corporations
have a lot in common with psychopaths. They do what they want, show no conscience and don’t care
about the feelings of others. Their main priority is the bottom line, the almighty $: how they can benefit
regardless of who or what is destroyed in the process.
Bold statement? Call my bluff. There is a fantastic, informative video called “The Corporation" (posted
below in case you're interested in checking it out. It very pointedly addresses some of these misdeeds
by major corporations, and their devastating results. It also shows hope! Several awesome CEOs have had a change of heart
; altering their business philosophies, company infrastructures, and positively the long term effects on our planet as a result.
“The Corporate Cry” (painted in 1998) is a
painting about the devastation corporations have caused our environment (directly and indirectly). The
distorted skyscrapers symbolize the corporate entity. The burning flowers at the bottom are a symbol of the fragile environment
being destroyed. The pupil is a globe, with the tear falling from it like an overflowing ocean.
The edges of this painting are lined with many corporate logos. Interpret them how you will!
