4-Week Expressive Painting Class
with Artist Gina Jrel

Time: 9am to Noon
(3 hour sessions)

Class Description:
Artist Gina Jrel offers this fun and whimsical painting class for those who would like to learn to tap in to, and paint, what
they feel. If you have ever felt your mind
was full of ideas, and felt you could not paint them, this workshop is for
you!
An exploration of the non-representational, Gina’s expressive painting class will include:

an introduction to the medium of acrylic paint
- an exploration of color psychology and its use and importance
in painting
- abstract art vs. representational art
- Development of original ideas/concepts

Use of symbolism
- translation of of sight, touch and sound stimuli to create 4 paintings on canvas
The
focus of this class is more abstract, expressive, and emotion-based (not representational). Artists wanting a class that focuses
on "realism" should look at Gina's Classical Drawing classes. Artists of all learning levels and experience
are welcome, and are invited to participate.
Supplies:
Supplies are not included in the enrollment fee.
This class will be taught using acrylic (water-based) paints. Students are
invited to check Gina’s website in advance for a list of recommended supplies for this class. Students may
be able to gather things they already own in order to save on the supply fee. For students who have never painted before, and have no previously purchased art
supplies, please add to your class tuition a $65.00
supply fee, which will include an acrylic painting kit, starter
brushes and 4 canvases. Students provide their own smock, apron, or the like. Students whoneed the supply kit
need to register/pay in advance so Gina can have their supplies on the first class day.
I recommend students purchase
their supplies at Delynn's Framing Shop, located at 358 W. St. George Blvd. (435-862-1707). They will have a list of
