About the Painting:

In selecting my issues for this show, I could not ignore war, famine, death, and plague.  The four horsemen  from the Bible (Revelations) hits on all four issues at once.

And I will confess, dark though it may be, it was fun to create.  Very free, very wild, twisted, crazy lines, lots of movement and action.  I chose intentionally to omit the riders, and just show the   massive, powerful onslaught of the horses…bearing down fast and furious… The edges of this piece are adorned with selected lines from Revelations about each horse.

All four horses are bearing down on our lives now. People are dying in war as you read this.  Bio-engineered diseases may easily become the next (overdue) pandemic. Famine isn’t far off as our environmental conditions change, and as our food crop seeds are unable to regenerate after one growing season thanks to genetically altered plants.
