About the Painting:

This piece is a dedication piece: going out to all of my creative peers. Those who travel the same, or a similar path, as I do.

God bless the artists. The potters, painters, actors, musicians, sculptors, dancers, writers, all of you.

They who choose this as a full time living
(or it chooses them).

They whose hearts rule them.
They who spend their life, not in search of riches,
but of ideas.

They who fill the world with the beautiful things
that touch the hearts of mankind.

They who work tirelessly, seek courageously, share selfishly, sacrifice endlessly, feel intensely.

May the wells that provide your life
water be forever full, clean, sparkling.

Never lose sight, or the faith.

I discovered this song quite by accident, while cruising around in itunes locating already selected songs for the one-liners show. I loved it upon first hearing it. For whatever reason, it touches my heart in a sad, hollow way. There is something humble, core, raw, and heart-renching about its beautiful and simple lyrics.

In a way, it haunts me. It is too close to the bone.
