Juniper Sky Gallery in Kayenta presents...
The Art & Mythology of Father Christmas
|
Featuring:
This special holiday exhibit features of one-of-a-kind holiday dolls.
Sculpted by local artist, Shauna McCullough, these holiday dolls depict a variety of Santa Claus and Father Christmas
incarnations influenced by various locations and cultures all over the world. McCullough, whose work has been featured in
St. George Magazine, The Spectrum, the Dickens Fest and Art in the Park, has been sculpting dolls since 1985.
Juniper Sky Fine Art Gallery is part of the Coyote Gulch Art Village in Kayenta. This gallery, along with the other galleries
and studios of Coyote Gulch, will feature original art and unique gifts available for purchase as holiday gifts and décor.

Art Therapy Workshop For Cancer Patients and Survivors

About the Workshop:
Dixie Regional Medical Center Cancer Services is sponsoring
a Cancer Survivor skills seminar on Art Therapy, taught by local artist Gina Jrel. The workshop will use the process of collage to express feeling and
emotions through art.
This special seminar / workshop is provided for cancer patients
and cancer survivors only, and class space is limited to 20 participants.
If you are interested in a similar workshop, and are not a cancer
patient or survivor, please email Gina and let her know you'd be interested in a separate workshop at a later date.

Ivins City presents Harvest Moon Festival 2007, an autumn celebration
of arts, crafts, food, entertainment, and merriment, including a Friday evening dance band for all to enjoy.
The festival is held in conjunction with teh 10th annual Ivins Car Show, one of the premier automobile
showcase events in the country.

in the 2008 Parade of Homes:
Artist Gina Jrel has been commissioned to do nine wall mural in the Split Rock Northbridge 2008 Parade Home in Washington,
Utah.
Included in her projects are a Ferrari Garage, Little Boys and girl's rooms, romantic patio, outdoor dining area, fitness
room, and more!
Watch for Gina's large scale wall mural work being featured in the fantastic 2008 Split Rock Home, which is called Bramosole
(which means Wishing for the Sun).
Gina will be painting on site at the Northbridge Home throughout the Parade event. She'll be stationed on the upper level
outdoor terrace of the children's rooms on the front side of the house. Stop by and say hello!
In addition to her mural work being showcased in teh Split Rock Parade home, Gina has new paintings that will be on display

About the Workshop:
Artist Gina Jrel returns to her classical art background and training, and offers this classical drawing workshop for those
wanting to learn to draw representationally.
Gina will guide students through the drawing process in six lessons that focus on value, form, light sources and shadows,
proportion, basic perspective, texture and composition. Students will be working from still life using charcoal and newsprint
as the medium.
This class will accommodate those with little or no drawing experience, as well as those with some drawing background
who are looking to expand their current skills.
