This
piece started out as a sketch years ago. The original idea was mainly a celebration of all of the wonderful
friendships that I am so lucky and honored to have in my life.
The concept has evolved over a few years and through some hard times, into something
much deeper for me. It is my visual statement of how important friends are in our lives, how they accept
and love us unconditionally, how they know all of our flaws and love us anyway, how they step in to help or comfort when others
turn away. I believe our friendships will be what sustains us in the future unbearable times.
This is my way of thanking my friends, who are so
dear to me, for their love, acceptance and support. I can only hope and aspire to be the same kind and quality of friend
in return.
