About the Painting:

“Once there was a man, and he lived to sing the lion’s song…”

This painting is dedicated to the special “Leo” man in my life, Dane Brewer.  I have been with Dane for two years now, and during that time he has enriched my life with not only his wonderful soul, but his wealth of worldly knowledge that he so patiently shares with me.

The piece has selected lyrics from the Pat Benatar song that inspired it (One Love, the Lion’s Song) curling around the edges.

Much of this show has been inspired by his years of research, knowledge of the economy, and his generous willingness to share those things with others. Some of the topics in this show we already believed in independently, while other topics I have learned a great deal about since meeting Dane, and for that I am eternally grateful.
