I believe that what we
put out in life… we don’t get back.
Our energy, and efforts that are manifested by that energy (bad or good), ripple outward from us,
and continue to grow and expand. They impact, inspire, or destroy others…directly or indirectly.
Just as we are putting out energy
ripples, we are caressed by the ripples of all those around us, near and far. And so the process
continues.
This painting is based on that
ripple effect. For me personally, it serves as a visual reminder that the things I do (good or bad) impact
others. It reminds me to be conscious of the type of energy I am sharing, of the deeds I am doing, and the trail left behind
my steps. I intended to paint it in ripple circles, much like a pond. But for me, as
I transferred my own energy into the piece, the process became nothing short of a rhythmical and musical
experience, full of colorful lines that are dancing and alive. (Must have been the fast music I was listening
to!)
