About the Class:
6-Week Beginning Classical Drawing workshop
with Artist Gina Jrel
Place: The Loft (Gina's St. Geoge
Warehouse Art Studio) 928 Westridge Drive Warehouse #3 in
St. George
Dates: Tuesday nights
(June 16th, 23rd, 30th, July 7th, 14th, 21st)
Time:
6:30-9:30pm (3 hour sessions)
Class Cost: $135.00 per student (supplies not included)

This class is limited to five students.

Class Description:
Learn, or improve on, your drawing skills!
Lesson #1: Value study, basic shape association, intoduction to the shadow edge
Lesson #2: Proportion, negative space, composition
Lesson #3: Perspective
Lesson #4: Developing strong compositions (includes use of movement, tension, balance, emphasis, and more...)
Lesson #5: Mark-making, and injecting emotion into your drawings
Lesson #6: Drawing faces
Each lesson has a focus topic, and a lecture and handouts. In addition to the lecture, students will execute a drawing
from a provided subject matter to employ the principles of the night's focus topic.
Supplies:
Supplies are not included in the enrollment fee, and students will be
on their own to purchase supplies and bring them to our first class.
I recommend students purchase their supplies
at Delynn's Framing Shop, located at 358 W. St. George Blvd. (435-862-1707). They will have a list of the supplies for
this class. For a list of charcoal drawing supplies....
